JET wins ‘Overseas Employer of the Year: Silver’ award at the Investors in People ceremony
We are excited to announce that JET Education Services has been recognised as the Overseas Employer of the Year in the Silver category at the prestigious Investors in People Awards 2024, which took place in London on November 13.
Investors in People is a global company that works to assist organisations to improve their people management processes and ethos in order to achieve their desired goals and ensure sustainability. There are 14 000 organisations across the world that hold the internationally recognised IiP accreditation. At JET, we strive to positively impact education policy and implementation in South Africa and Africa through rethinking current education systems and engaging in evidence-based research.
Our journey with Investors in People began in June 2016, with the purpose of enhancing our organisational culture and staff well-being. JET achieved accredited status on the Developed level of the IiP Standard, and in December 2018, won the Best Newcomer award. In 2020, JET achieved Silver status, reflecting our commitment to our people and the successful cultural transformation within our organisation. In 2023, we proudly retained our Silver accreditation. In 2024, out of over 300 entries from 200 organisations across 15 countries, JET was one of three shortlisted for an award in the category Overseas Employer of the Year: Silver, alongside organisations such as the Cyprus Telecommunications Authority and Geodis BPO Thailand and India.
Representing JET to accept the award were Nathalie Vereen, Chief Operating Officer, Cleopatra Morudu, Human Resources General Manager, and Zukiswa Mashigo, Communications Coordinator. The day began with an International Community Networking event at Canopy by Hilton, followed by the awe-inspiring awards ceremony later that evening at Old Billingsgate.
