Alli Gerths

Alli Gerths is a dedicated US Peace Corps Response Volunteer at JET Education Services in South Africa. She focuses on promoting parent and caregiver involvement in early childhood development (ECD) programs and primary schools. By fostering strong partnerships between families and educational institutions, Alli aims to enhance children's learning and improve the overall quality of education in the communities she serves.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Anthropology from Saint Mary's College - Notre Dame and brings over a decade of experience in the fields of education, health, and youth development across the United States and Southern Africa. Her varied work includes coordinating community-based parent support, health, & life-skills programmes, designing and facilitating multilingual professional development workshops, providing support to ECD and special education classrooms, and managing large-scale summer camps and after-school enrichment & education programmes. Additionally, Alli is certified as an instructor by the Red Cross in Adult & Paediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, having trained over 60 individuals in these life-saving skills.
