I believe that for education to thrive, addressing some of the social issues faced by communities is crucial and can be a solution amongst others. By so doing, we can create a society where children and youth can challenge themselves in acquiring knowledge without social issues getting in the way of their success.

In surfing the stream, I look forward to acquiring robust research knowledge. This will allow me to become an influential researcher in the education system. A social change agent that will contribute to an inclusive education that enables learners, teachers and schools to reach their full potential through applied research.

I hold a BA Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Johannesburg.
