UKFIET Conference 2023

The UKFIET Conference 2023 - Education For Social And Environmental Justice: Diversity, Sustainability, Responsibility Examination Schools, takes place 12 – 14 September in Oxford, UK.

We’re excited to be participating at this year’s 17th UKFIET International Conference on Education and Development Education for Social and Environmental Justice: Diversity, Sustainability, Responsibility, in Oxford.

Rachel Neville (ECD Specialist Manager) and Daniel Mashilo (Senior Statistician)377808867_767626512040547_7357448028496329119_n.jpg are part of the session on Improving the measurement and evaluation of playful learning interventions, presenting on the role of play in the development of cognitive and executive functions in children aged 3-5 years old in South Africa.’

Their paper describes how executive functions develop in the contexts of playful pedagogies in South Africa. This study involves analysis of the “Thrive by Five” national survey of 3-5 year-olds in South Africa, using the Early Learning Outcome Measure (ELOM), which includes measures of executive function.
